Hi guys, Just got back from Kennys walk, I left the house at 10.30 and got back ay 1pm. We've walked a 3 mile round trip, stopping off in the park. Kenny met his mates, Diesel and Marley. I found him very hard work. He pulled all the way. I could'nt leave him off lead for to long as he continuall tried to hump Marley, who's only 6 months old. Marley got so fed up that the even growled at kenny. I could'nt believe how hyper he is today. Any advice please x

In that case, it's his age! He's going through the hormone fuleed teen years!

All I can tell you is that it'll get better. Eventually.

Zeus done the exact same when my cousins Labrador came round yesterday, he just kept trying to hump him.. literally all the time he was round!

Judging by his posture in the photos and his age and the humping I would say he's reaching sexual maturity and is being a bit dominant. You need to try and nip this in the bud or it might get worse! Its not nastiness but you can see the head-over-the-neck business he and the older-looking brindle are doing to one another. Its a bit of a test to see whos top dog and you don't want it to turn into aggression on either side.

A normal teenager with rampant hormones pushing boundaries. Back to basics with everything. He will test you constantly at this age.

Wee, take heart. Staffords mature earlier than EBTs, and Dempsey has now really calmed down - quite laid back at times - and he's now 3 years old. But he started to calm down about a year ago, so as long as you keep on top of it, he'll even out within the next 6 months or so, hopefully!

6 months!! Buster is going through it, and I was hoping a month or two! God help me....
