lets hope is has shamed her into losing weight, her parents should be help responsible, i would never let my kids get like that. Also she obviously needs help she must be very depressed

saw this this morning , 33st down to 18st after a boot camp and then "crept" back up to 63st, didn't catch how old she was though, its shameful

I find that quite gross tbh, how on earth do you let yourself get to that weight

food can be addictive to some people like drugs, fags and beer

where do they get their money from, we have fish & chip take away once a fortnight cause thats all we can afford

it's very easy getting that size if you eat rubbish all the time. you can goto iceland full your trolley full with crap that doesn't cost much....

It would cost the best part of £10.00 for the two of us to have fish and chips just a regular size portion, not that we have it that often once every couple of months if that.

She should have been removed from her parents care years ago as they were obviously not providing her with proper care. This may sound harsh but if you allow your child to become too large to fit through a door that to me is just criminal and should be treated as such.

It's not like she is going out and buying the food for herself.

Community service perhaps. Just seems criminal to me to allow a problem to get that out of hand and expect the government to bail you out.

it's like druggy and the rest you cant punish someone because they have a problem you try to help them, we don't know her background she could of been bullied all of her life or abused and only way she coup was eating.

It's not really a punishment more like making people be responsible like a mandated national service. By making them responsible for their poor decisions and contributing to society you end up helping them. If counseling is needed that could also be provided.

I agree with Jstaff Steve. Maybe if she got a little overweight because she had a problem and the parents failed to notice , understandable . But this was way out of control and the parents should have took some great action to prevent it before it got anywhere near this bad. I'm sorry but there is overweight and there is gross and a drain on the country , this one is the latter and yes they should be made to pay. How would you think about it if you're kids died in a fire because the fire service were too busy getting the big kid out of the house

She might even have a disorder that makes her eat. Not everyone is fat just cause they are lazy and greedy

Not saying she is lazy or greedy , though I think these symptoms may arise somewhere in all of this but she hasn't been handled by her parents and yes it is neglect. If she was my kid she wouldn't even get the chance to get porky. And there is nothing worse in this world than a "Fat Family" when the kids are big as mum and dad as to let your kids get like this , just as to let kids get anorexic and bulemic is an act of neglect and probably abuse as you are putting them in a potentially life threatening situation

People can turn around though. I knew a family growing up that was huge. Each and every one of them. When doctors finally confronted them with the fact that they were litterally killing their children (daughter so big she had to have ankle braces of they would break), they finally made the necessary changes and shockingly got down to healthy weight (all 5 of them). Sometimes it just takes extreme measures. Hopefully that is what will happen now. It is epidemic in developed countries now. Mobid obesity is a sickness.
