Pero food and green poo.

Hi again , Debo was on Eukanuba puppy food but he didn't like it very much,so I've order some Pero trial pack. Before that,for about a week we mixed it with some wet food and he was doing great on it..Now we added pero and his poo is dark green and loose. Is it normal or should I changed it back?Can he be alergic to it?

When changing foods there poo will change as well, you need to do it over a longer period.

How old is he now because thats a lot of brands to go through in a short space of time.

Try and stick with 1 and see how he goes. Took me 2 years to find one that she likes and suits her

He's going to be 11 weeks . Now we've got left only the wet food and lots of pero,should I give more wet and rest pero? Can I give him a bit banana ?

You no what, I would just stick to Pero, do it for a time and see how he goes. He doesn't need the treats (not saying that they are bad).

At 11 weeeks thats a lot of diet changes for him already and he will settle as he grows Xx

I take it it's Pero Puppy?

If so, then as Janey says it might be better to give him a run with just the Pero for a week or so to see if it settles. Obviously if the loose poo continues you might have to change back to the Eukanuba for a while.

So shell I just drop the wet food for a while?

Stick to one brand for a while and see how you go

I would. I have to say that I don't like wet food (tins or trays) mainly because it's about 80 - 90% water & I can get that from the tap an awful lot cheaper!

We just using the wet food for topping ,he didn't want to eat the dry very much.

Kodi is half way changing onto Pero puppy also, about a week now and 80% Pero 20% JWB so will be on 100% pero by weekend and hes got green poop also a little loose too, im just going to use the bag and see how he goes

strange the green poo im wondering if they changed the puppy food makeup as never heard of this problem before and there been a few trying pero

poo is more solid now,still green but will see how it's go

The green could either be from vegetable matter, charcoal or added iron. It could even be just a reaction to changing food. Without seeing the ingredients it's hard to say.

Hi , no changes to the colour, do you think I should put it away if the colour won't ggo away in week time.

If the food seems to suit him & his poos are normal consistency then I wouldn't worry about a bit of green colour!

My girls are both on Pero now and their poo is ik, dogs eat more grass in the summer and that can make their poo green x

Hi,so I'm not sure about this food any more. Since Debo had his tummy problem and spent 24h at the vet followed by rice and chicken diete,he has loose poo.I didn't give the pero food straight away just gradually. It's been a week since he's only on pero and he's poo is still not normal. In the morning is fine but in the evening is loose. I'm thinking about changing for james wellbeloved food. How should I do it if the pero doesn't go well with him anyway. Shell I mix the new one with pero or with rice and no pero?
