how do i stop maisy humping scooby!

May sound strange but when we got sccoby I thought it would be him trying to hump her but its the other way round!

I read up on body language which said its a way of getting in with his pack, not sexual, is this right?

Anyways is there any way I can stop her doing it? If I tell her no she gets off him, but I turn my back and she's on again..he isn't bothered in the slightest, but it can be a little embarrassing when we have people round and my 8 year old has taken to telling everyone!

I'd remove her, tell her no, and put her out of the room for a while, hopefully she'll learn but I've never had more than one dog!

Moo has a habit of trying to hump a friends male dog, sometimes his head, sometimes his side, she's not really thought it through lol!

I'll be interested in what others say, its not really an issue to us but can be embarresing!

It's dominance. I'd discourage it, because she might get into the habot of doing it to other dogs as well, and some of them may take exception to it!

Just tell her "no" the way you have been doing. It'll take quite a few repetitions to sink in that it isn't acceptable, though.
