lola smells like dog!

I know being a dog that shes likely to smell like dog but it seems to be more since we showered her at the weekend.

What goddy shampoo can you guys recomend please

I have very rarely bathed Moo! She doesn't mind it but doesn't need it lol.

I reckon they smell more like dog after a shower, wait till her natural oils get back on and she will probably be back to norm. or you'll have got used to it haha

Well, you have to let them get stinkier first so that they smell relatively better after the shower see? No seriously, it can depend on so many things. It could be hormones or stress that brings on extra odor. You might consider getting some bath wipes at the pet store, sometimes they are just enough to take that doggie edge off.

We use a mild dog shampoo with tea tree in it from wilkinsons, and I add some lavender oil too, Polly has allergy problems and I have found this is seems to help when she has a bad outbreak, not only is it antiseptic but she smells lovely too, and she hasn't had any infection with her skin since I started using it. I only bath her when her skin gets bad though, and she is a bit pongy at the moment after learning to swim in a local lake

I kinda love the doggy smell. As long as he has not been rolling in anything and is not wet!

We havnt used a shampoo on Rocky yet but have just given him a thoroughtly good rinse in the shower, dont want to strip his skin of all his natural oils.

The water will just increase her 'doggy' smell unfortunately. I use special wipes with cleaner in to wipe over Romeo when he gets too dirty.

I use a tea tree shampoo,but cairo still stinks of dog when shes wet lol.It fades after she dries off properly

i use a tea tree shampoo, but ive noticed that chloe has a distinctive aroma after about a month or so. its not unpleasant but none of the others smell like it. its a smell i notice a lot of staffys have, but no idea why lol! she does have sweaty feet too lmao!

I use John Paul Oatmeal Shampoo. I bought a bottle about 2 years ago & there's still plenty left. You don't need to use much & it smells nice.

Doesn't last long, though. Not when the dog continually rolls in Badger poo.

So basically I shouldnt of bathed her lol - she didnt stink before I bathed her & glad I checked your posts cause was thinking of bathing her again tomorrow & getting a new shampoo lol

Im going to look for those doggie wipes & clean all her bedding ect ... She doesnt smell as bad as she did the first few days.. In fact i dont even notice just guests like to comment.

Although her doggy dance to dry herself was hilarious - lol
