5 more weeks!

We are bringing home a SBT puppy in a few weeks, and we're so excited...we've named her Callie. Not 100% which one yet but all the girlies in the litter are adorable.

Our breeder is so good with her time and advice, but any tips for the first few days--we haven't had a Staffy before? We'll be crate training. We have two kids, 16 and 12, so the poor thing will probably be loved and played with till she's exhausted.

I've been a frequent visitor to the puppy part of the forum already--you guys are a wonderful community, I'm so glad I found this site. Love especially your photos of your beautiful dogs, they make me smile

yay! good for you! just remember to let your pup get comfortable in the home with out picking it up every two seconds (which i would have done when I was 12 years old so remind the kids!) haha

Don't fuss over the pup to much and give her time to settle in. Sit down with the family and establsh the rules for the dog before she gets there and make sure everyone follows the rules each and every time.

Cover the crate on three ends with a blanket and set a radio on low volume next to it so she won't whine as much. When she does ignore her because if you don't she will think that is how you get attention

one bit of advice i would give, take a blanket to the breeder now for the mums scent and then when you bring pup home put it in her crate and she will sleep through the night
