and then he missed the bus

matthew set off to catch the bus. he looked up the road and saw it coming. look the other way really quick (the green cross code as you do) then sprinted to the bus stop so he didnt miss it.
The car that was coming up the road but was far enough away so not to worry about was a police car.
the police thought "hang on why did this guy run when he saw us" so they stop him and search him and take his details.
when asked why he ran matthew replied.

"well officer i saw my bus coming and didnt want to miss it so i ahd to run for it. used my green cross code and checked the road both ways before moving on. road clear except for the car further down that was far enough away so i ran over the road in the hope i would catch the bus and not miss it."

too late now i missed my bus

Poor Matthew! I agree, the police officer should've at least offered to drive him to catch up with the bus!

Ooops sorry Matthew but at least the coppers are on the ball.

Aussie cop would have given him a ride to his destination
