It will last for around 3 weeks. She will be a bit mopey for that time and give you lots of strange looks, as if to say "Mummy ??" .

Think it all depends on her really , Tilly has had her second now and it went on for 2-3 weeks and she'd done a bit of spotting a few weeks before. We didn't really do anything special apart from make a big fuss of her as she didn't cope with it too well with water infections and such like , other people say their have gone on for a week or so and wouldn't notice any difference in the dog apart from a bit of mess.

You do know that you can buy hygiene pants from pets at home to avoid the mess, best of luck anyway , we are just waiting another month now and Tilly will be going to the vets to get sorted so she won't have to put up with it all again

Sash has been bleeding for about three weeks now but its slowing down and changing color now, she has been very quiet and a bit clingy. I think she is in season for another 10 day after the bleeding stops.
