Dog Rocks
Hey guys, i was wodering if anyone has used or is using Dog Rocks. They are these rocks you put in the dogs water bowl and apparently they help prevent the dogs urine from killing your grass.
The end of august i had my pups grandma over for the night and she urinated on my 3 week old new lawn so now i have 2 dead patches. I saw the Dog Rocks in pets at home but am a little sceptical about them. Do they work? and are they harmless?
I know i'm gonna be trying to train Sapphire to go to the bathroom at the end of the garden where it is just bark but there are always going to be accidents. I just don't fancy returfing or constantly be planting grass seeds.

Re: Dog Rocks
Thanks Lynne
I'm just not sure about them. I felt the packet and they were about the size of a golf ball, my worry is the dog trying to eat it and what kind of damage it might do.

Re: Dog Rocks
I'm sure they've been safety tested through the roof, but I just don't like the idea of putting anything in my dog's food or water that isn't specifically for their own good. I would rather put up with the brown patches or keep the dog off the lawn rather than find out in five years time that it has massive kidney stones or something from the minerals passing through its system.
I would also worry about them trying to eat them aswell to be honest.
I found this thread on another forum about them, worth a read.

Re: Dog Rocks
Thanks. After reading the other forum I think I'll give them a miss and maybe try the vinegar and see how we go with that
