New Mummy to 8 week old Attari
Hello there,
First time mummy to a beautiful 8 week old blue staffy Attari.
Have only had her for about 4 days now and she is a great pup... so far!
Im trying to keep her as an outside dog but while its a bit wet and shes so young, we have fenced off the laundry to have as her zone since the entire house is carpeted minus the kitchen and bathrooms.
On day two, i realised i hadnt fenced off the laundry as well as i had thought since she had gotten a hold of the carpet and did a bit of damage. So I thought "yep, got a chewer!" but she doesnt do anything but lick your hands and hasnt bitten into anything else. Even cuddles her teddies (which i expected to be torn up right about now).
Ive noticed she SNORES! sooo loud! is this normal?
And shes constantly snorting like a piggy, it gets louder as shes getting cuddles but it happens when shes walking around exploring her new home.
The breeder told me to feed her 3 times a day and gave me a meal plan and so far shes definately not a fussy eater.
She not only snorts like a pig but she eats like one too! It seems like she litterally inhails her food!
Shes still trying to find her feet and runs on an angle and falls over herself.
Im loving my choice of breed even though she did cost me an arm and a leg!

I think everything you saying is about right and normal just wondering about you wanting to keep her outside I know you have a good climate out there but the stafford is defo a people dog they hate being parted from the family even for short periods in my house if you go to the loo the whole tribe follows
Whatever she cost you im sure shes worth it id be so scared of her getting taken leaving her outside

Re: New Mummy to 8 week old Attari
We keep her inside during the nights and I watch her when we have her outside during the day. She even helps me do the gardening and attacks the weeds. She cried the first night we had her because she wanted to be sleeping with us but have had no troubles since with any crying. She has her teddies that she cuddles.

Hahahaha, my "puppy" is now 9 months old, but so so so friendly.
I have a nephew who lives in Ellenbrook. He showed me a park last time we were out that way which is fully fenced and said it was a dog park. Is this right......coz it looked like a fantastic place to take the dogs to.

Hi Nicki, welcome to the forum from another Perthite. We are south of the river but if you hang around here long enough I'm sure our paths will cross as Lisa (Loopy) above knows
My girls Kita & Izzy are older too, but if you check these sites out you may fiind some dog parks you can take Atarri once she's fully immunised.
