Pygmy goats Empty Pygmy goats

Post by Guest Thu Sep 29 2011, 18:46

I know all about goats their a handful and a joy thing is i don't know about the laws of owning them.
My mum wants two Pygmy goats for the allotments, its big enough secure enough but apparently you need to be registered with DEFRA have a licences form here there and everywhere and i can not make a sense of it at all.
I don't want to breed them they will be just pets.
So here is the question if anyone on here owns a few goats etc can they tell me how they went about it (legally)

Hi. Just found this link online. It may help. You may have to trawl through the twaddle to get to what you need to know though.

http://www.rspca.org.uk/ImageLocator/LocateAsset?asset=document&assetId=1232713000349&mode=prd

Page 32 covers legal requirements.

Hope this helps.

It could be your firewall blocking. Try allowing RSPCA.org.

I don't have any experience with goats, besides knowing that they are neat animals! Good luck!
