Putting this on here now ....

Just a quick note to say i might not be able to pull meself together tomorrow and come on here so that's why am putting this on here now !!

It will be a yr tomorrow (28th) that god gained a new beautiful guard dog which sadly meant my big beautiful 'Kruga' was needed elsewhere.. It was one of the hardest decisions having to decide to let you go but it was even harder watching you slowly lose your battle..watching my once bold masterful boy start to struggle to get to his feet and try to keep your food down.
The look in your eyes told us you were lost to us, but i always regret not being given the chance to take you one last time to your favourite place (Delamere Forest) so you could wander aimlessly and smell everything like you used to.. in the hope that you were gunna catch some creature but we all knew that you weren't the quickest of dogs so you had more chance catching a cold than a squirrel or a rabbit but the effort was there !!
Watching you grow into a big handsome brute never prepared me to even think we would lose you at just 6yrs old to cancer.. Run fast and free gorgeous till we all meet again and bagsy getting the 1st biggest bear hug from you ever... Forever In Our Hearts... R.I.P Kruga.x.x.x

Just try to remember all of the great times you shared...and the bond / companionship / love etc.......

He's resting peacefully now, but will always hold a special place in your heart

It will be 16 years in November since I lost my first dog Judy (GS x Labrador). She was a wonderful friend to me and my family whilst I was growing up and still living at home with all my brothers, 3 of them in fact.

We do need time to mourn their passing as we would a family member, because that's what they are. 16 years is too long to leave it though.

Choked me up reading this post, but know where you are coming from Sue. RIP Kruga. Take care ><

My eyes are filling up reading that so sorry for the loss of your beautiful boy

Difficult to read that. Just lost one two months ago and when I think about it, it hurts just like the day it happened. RIP Kruga. I like to think they are waiting for us in heaven, eating all the bad stuff we didn't let them gorge themselves on here (but without any bad side affects).

Thoughts are with you today, and the next few days too! It was 2 years on the 19th of sept since we had to put our welsh sheepdog to sleep. He was only 7 years old but he had developed cancer which was too severe to do anything about. It has been difficult this year remembering him as we have just got tinkerbell. And some of the things she does (despite being a different breed) remind me of him. It breaks my heart still remembering the look in the eyes when he passed away, I will never forget that or my darling boy Cadi! Massive hugs to you, it is supposed to get slightly easier with time though!

know how you a feeling.. when my last dog Kimba was put to sleep due to cancer of the pancreas I honestly thought I was going to die from a broken heart...
