The things you do for love!
We got our pup last week and he was given a cuddly toy (which he tries to murder daily) with the scent of his mammy on. Anyway, said cuddly toy is steadily losing his poor head. Infact it's a wonder it's still on....
I have just sat and performed surgery on this toy. Neatly sewing his head back onto his shoulders. Now, this may not seem strange but you have to userstand I do NOT do sewing! I think the last time I held a needle I was about 12 in art class!
I do hope Paddy appreciates my dedication.......

Re: The things you do for love!
We've given up on sewing them back together. We go to thrift shops or anywhere else there are stuffed animals for cheap. Good to see someone still fighting the good fight and repairing the damage.

That is so cute I wish I could do that with Codys toys but all his stuffed toys end up flat as a pancake with stuffing all around the room in about 5 minutes

Summer did the same to 3 charmin teddies that belonged to one of cats and stuffy was everywhere, same with her bed, I gave it in as a bad joke and just chucked them out. She has a little lamb that she has had since day 1 and for some reason although she chews it, it's still intact, well it was yesterday and I've been at uni all day and cant find it anywhere lol

Ruby has a tetleys tea monkey, I have sat and removed each painstaking bead......then she ripped his eyes off so I sewed some on.....then she tore his arm off....thing is she knows who monkey is, and if I was to bin him.....no more monkey
I have been known to sew many other toys up, espesh ones she had as a puppy, not her that's the sentimental one me thinks!!!!!

Yes hope you have an appreciative staffy!!Is it still in one piece??
Winston had a pink rabbit from when we first got him,it lasted months, but finally a few weeks ago he absolutely ripped it apart. So I bought him another one.. it lasted 2 days..then in the bin it went. Yes I have sewed up other toys and in a matter of seconds it is ripped apart... It's the op shop for me now. If he shreds something that only cost a dollar or so I don't feel quite so bad!!
