stolen dog from kennels shropshire Mabel Female White/red microchipped

Mabel is a red and white staffie cross bitch, she was stolen from Hilbrae Rescue Kennels on Tuesday 6th September 2011 around 1pm. We had a man ask to walk her, he had previously walked her so she was taken out of the kennel and he was reminded to keep her close to him as she didn't like other dogs. As we hadn't long been open there were no other dogs being walked. The strays love to go out for walks and we are always very grateful for volunteers walking them, it gives them some much needed time out away from the stressful kennel environment. Anybody coming to the kennels are required to sign in, this man however gave false details. Since he has stolen Mabel we have found out that he approached a gentleman at a park enquiring about his staffies (which were rehomed from Hilbrae) unfortunaley we think this led him to Hilbrae.

The man is mixed race, in his 20's, short dark brown/black hair, distinctive green eyes and of slim build, he was wearing tracksuit type clothing. We believe he lives in Wolverhampton. He came with two women, roughly in their 20's, one of them was carrying a baby in a carrier. They possibly drive a silver audi or fiesta.

Mabel is a very distinctive looking red and white staffie bitch, she is roughly under 5 years, she came in as a stray in January this year. She is microchipped. On the date she went missing she was carrying one of her back legs for a few strides then putting it back down, not limping more like hopping. Mabel is currently on medication for a heart condition.
