A little story about Courage , Planning, Determination , Intelligence and Greed

Hello Everyone

So today I went outside for a smoke when Tilly had been unsupervised in the garden for about 30mins. What I initially saw was a strange looking dangling piece of string in her mouth which I couldn't account for and the ever so innocent "What ??" look on her face. On closer inspection found a mass of string in the garden ??? Looking further found a chewed up mop !! So all normal except we don't have a mop !! We inquire a bit further....
Our garden is enclosed with the exception of the rear of the shed as small animals (much smaller than Tilly) can gain access to the back of my shed and into next doors garden but only to the rear of their shed and no further, we assessed this and they were happy we were happy no further action required...
On Saturday the neighbours mop went missing , it would appear that Tilly has been doing several reccies on the joint (INTELLIGENCE) and on Saturday spied a mop head sticking through a small gap and decided it was hers for the taking (PLANNING) . The neighbour noticed it was gone on Saturday , checked the area and nothing , we have been around the garden and nothing . So it would appear she has skilfully taken the mop on a 15minute exercise break in the garden , dragged it under the shed , over the next few days slowly got it over our side (DETERMINATION), without breaking cover and reducing herself to half her size to carry out the task (COURAGE), and then today when she finally got the mop all the way thought sod it and ripped it to bits in the garden whilst she had a half hour to spare and bugger the consequences (GREED) - Staffies gotta love em

It just makes me laff every time , she's ripped the backside out of her MooMoo ( a cuddly toy ) sits there with the fluff stuck in the side of her mouth , look on her face "What ??". The mop , string hanging out of her mouth , "What???" Been out digging in th garden covered in soil expecially that little nose , "What ????"

Ha ha little devil! Bless her. They really are so determined though, if Charlie wants something, he moves heaven and earth to get it

Its only really the garden where she shows her true colours , she's grown out of the chewing phase everywhere else now . There are little evidence marks everywher in the garden , the patio door sill , the gate , the outside waste pipe but the best one is when I pull the sprinkler out , there is more water coming from the pipe with its little tiny holes than we will evr get out of the sprinkler . But I could never be angry with her

We got Rocky a Julius K9 harness which has velcro strips on the side. It currently just has the advert for the brand. You can however get messages made up to attach to it. We thought of having "It wasn't me" put on there for starters. Who knows where this will end???

Pleased it's brightened a few people's days, my next door neighbour is still chuckling now !! If you want some variety in your life , get a staffy , always loving , always friendly , always hungry , totally unreadable

very strange though... Russell has also managed to acquire our next door neighbours mop when he was younger and shredded it all across the yard! though he didn't carry it out in such a stealthy way, there is quite a gap in our fence and the mop was leaning against it so one quick grab and pull and its through
