A lovely fall walk

We had a very nice walk yesterday. Asked my boyfriend if he wanted to come along yesterday afternoon when I came home from school (I'm doing an 8 week internship-thingy at an upper secondary school as part of my degree). It was sunny, for once, and we heard the rest of the weekend was going to be gray and rainy (as usual). We ended up walking much longer than planned, since we found a path and had to see where it ended up...

Woo-hoo!
We have so much nice mud..
WTF?! Dunno what he suddenly saw.. he looks so surprised.
We ended up spending much more time in the woods than I had planned for, so we didn't really see much of the sun in the end...
Lots of fungi in every color - red, purple, yellow, brown, black, white...

Can you find the puppy?
Wet and muddy..
Very strange tree in the middle there.. I assume something was underneath there at some point.
Finally back out on the fields!
We found a road (you don't really see it, it's right in front of Gummi)! Perhaps we'll find our way home now.

The scarring on this tree makes it seem to have a strange little smile
