Puppy from England
We decided months ago to have a third dog. We surched for breeders and good matings. Today my husband asked, why weg don`t search for a breader in England.
So I have some questions.
Has anybody here a puppy from England?
Where there any problems to find a breeder who export hie puppies?
Where there any other problems?
We want our puppy in the next 2 years. So we have enough time to inform us, it doesn`t hurry

I doubt that there would be a problem exporting to Austria, but you would have to expect some distrust to start with, as the breeder would never be able to get to know you, and would need to be 100% sure that their pup would be going to a good, forever home.
Also, the Pet Passport scheme would mean that you would not be able to have a 'young' pup. It takes some time to arrange everything that's needed for the Passport, so you'd probably be looking at a 6 month pup. It would also cost you a lot more, as you would have to pay for the pup's keep until it could be sent, and obviously all the transport fees.
If you are genuinely interested Then contact the Staffordshire Bull Terrier Club who may be able to point you in the right direction.

Re: Puppy from England
As Caryll says you will need to organise a passport, vaccinations (vary according to country you want to export to) airline approved crate for travelling (these alone cost a fair bit!). It will be an expensive process but will mean you get the pup you really want. I know lots of breeders who have exported pups in the past and it is quite common practice. I would look at a few kennels and see which dogs you really like, then contact them privately. Also the staffordshire bull terrier club would be a good place to look.

Re: Puppy from England
Thank you for your informations.
In Austria the staffies are really tall and massive, they look like litte American Staffords. We don`t like these.
It`s my dream, and yesterday we had the discussion and decided to inform us.
I also see the problem that the breeder haven`t the possibility to get to know us.
So we`re going to look for breeders, call them/write an e mail. And I hope we`ll find a one, who trust us :-)
Another question: I looke for a list which all breeders, but I couldn`t find. Where can I find a list of breeders?
