Re: 9/11
It's been in my thoughts all day. 10 years ago today, I remember where I was and watching it unfold.
So so sad. So many people lost. x

Re: 9/11
I was 22 at the time. I remember the news saying we may be under attack.
To this day my brother still stocks up on bullets and doesn't leave his house on 9/11. I told him that the terrorists are probably not going to knock on his door.
He says the bullets are for the crack heads that will try to loot when something does happen. His house is like a small military base. My brother is Rambo.

Re: 9/11
I remember it so well. My kids were at a local primary school & the kids there were 60% muslim. I remember some of the parents laughing & saying "They got what they deserve". Boy did I get ANGRY! I told them they were setting such a bad example to their children & that NOBODY deserves to die like that - nobody has the right to kill like that.
I moved my kids to a Catholic Primary School very soon afterwards.

Dont know much about muslim but I very much doubt it supports terrorism and if it does why dont they all sod off and live together and leave everyone else alone if you dont like to live in a society thats civilised then do one and dont have anything to do with us

Re: 9/11
In fairness some of the mums there were horrified by the evnts of that day and by the comments & reactions of their fellow muslims.
I know several muslims who hated what happened, but there are many more who applauded it, even if they wouldn't say so out loud.

I couldn't believe it was 10 years ago. I was working at the RSPB headquarters at the time. I remember a colleague saying "Something terrible has happend in America" a pretty big something I later found out. Took a while for things to filter to us as the internet was down. It wouldn't sink in what I was seeing. Very very sad

Re: 9/11
I was 11 and in the 6th grade. I walked into art class and the TV was on to the news. They just kept playing the footage over and over. I didn't really understand what was happening or why, but I was absolutely convinced that my school or my parents' office building would be next. Remembering all of those who lost their lives on this day.
