Hi everyone, great site.
https://s282.photobucket.com/albums/kk272/blakejorel/DUDE/
Hello,
Would just like to say hello to you all. I have been visiting this site regularly prior to and since getting our little staff Dude. Since I was a kid, we have only really adopted unwanted and stray mutts. However, my little girl has been asking for a puppy for the past two years. We picked him up locally from a litter of seven. And although the owners said he was eight weeks, I think he was around six as he was very unsteady on his back legs and they told me the mother was having a hard time feeding them due to nipping. Not too sure how pure a breed he is, hopefully y'all can give me your verdict. The dad was a big boy, and just the type of handsome lovable dope that has really attracted me to the breed. The mother was also tall, slender with a longer snout. I should have taken a photo of them both really. I think he is around 13-14 weeks, and has grown quite a bit since he has been with us. So far he has been great, with no sign of any aggression or short temper at all. The only slight problem is the scratches from his teeth and really sharp paws. I have added a link to photobucket, hopefully it works and you can view pictures of him.

Re: Hi everyone, great site.
Thanks everyone.
That's right, Disney Dinosaurs . Actually that leads to a question. A good few years ago I fostered a big ol' EBT that liked nothing better than humping a huge cushion from a sofa that I got rid of. I have noticed Dude starting to do the same with this particular doll too. he doesn't do it to Bag Puss or his Banana Split dolls. Should he be doing this at his young age, and will I need to discourage this?

Re: Hi everyone, great site.
Sorry I've only ever had girls so not much help from me If I were to hazard a guess I think it's purely dominance behaviour at his age, which is totally natural.

Re: Hi everyone, great site.
You got yourself a gorgeous staffy cross there what he is crossed with is out of my reach but the second i looked at the very first picture i seen dalmation am i right i do not know but that was the first thing i thought when i seen him.
His humping should be discouraged, it is dominance so perhaps when he starts remove the toy and give him another one of his toys instead.

Re: Hi everyone, great site.
Hi,
Not too sure, I should have taken pictures. The mother was brindle, tall an slim and was probably a staff cross. The dad was tall and muscular with a big apple head that I could pet standing up. I really liked him as he had a big kind face, and was probably a cross too. Maybe with a Bulldog. The advert was for staffs, but I could tell straight away there was a bit off the next door neighbor mixed in. Nevertheless, I liked both parents, and my little girl fell for dude straight off. I am keen to see how he turns out in a year or so. I really like the look of your dog, he has great ears in the photo.

Re: Hi everyone, great site.
I have just uploaded the pictures from the advert to Photobucket. There is only a shot of the back of the mothers head, but you can see the various colours of his siblings.

Haha yes thats Taz he is crossed with a bigeared bat...so glad i finally found his real mother lol.
My lot are StaffxLabradorxJackRussell It was extremely frustrating to try and find out what my lot were but i know the dad (a long legged Jackrussell) and they mother must of been a staffy cross labrador, What ever your boy he is stunning and as long as you love him and like you said your daughter loved him from first sight thats all that matters.

Hi there and Welcome from Me and RoXy.
Dude is a real cutie....and it does'nt matter what he's crossed with as long as you and your daughter love him My girl appears to be a X too, but she's my baby so it does'nt matter to me in the slightest.
Looking forward to seeing and hearing more about the adventures of young Dude

Re: Hi everyone, great site.
Thanks all,
I don't mind at all owning a mixed breed dog. There is no shortage of Staffs for sale in my area. It's not until you start looking for a pup that you realize 70% of the dogs offered are staffs or staffy X. But every time I meet a staff, I always fall in love with them. I love their exuberance and friendliness. Also, from what I have read they are a smart dog, if not a little stubborn.
