Summer get-together with Gummi's relatives
On Friday we packed up the car and went to Sweden!
We remembered all the important stuff!
Here are most of us, but not all! Gummi and I are sitting on the steps almost at the top.
Gummi and Bris had lots of fun!
Staffies and people everywhere! This was the combined summer get together for the Kronsäter and Comet staff kennels.
A very dirty Gummi after rolling in the sand with Bris. He was a very good boy while having to sit still - we kept working on contact and him being quiet the whole time. Ironically, afterwards we had some obedience training with contact as the main focus.. so we did some other stuff, too, after all that contact work. He got some nice comments on how well he was behaving. And this little kid came up and gave him a treat and waved his toy around without Gummi moving at all. I was most impressed!
Gummi meeting cute little Cabby (who moved the opposite way of Gummi, from Norway to Sweden).
Good thing they have plenty of space!
There was an obedience demonstration - three dogs/handlers - to inspire a bit before some obedience training for all who wanted to try.
Gummi (red/black harness) working on contact while we watched.
I've found a GREAT reward to in this tug toy with real sheep fur!
Gummi's sister, Giza
Super cute little Nellie - unfortunately the pix I have of her face are blurry..
A fairly decent picture of Maggie, who's known for hating getting her picture taken.
I gave him a few breaks during the day, but even so Gummi was still tired when we got back to the cottage. A miracle!
... and so was I!

There were several little puppies actually - Nellie was 12 weeks and oh-so-cute, Cabby turned 9 weeks yesterday and the third puppy was probably also around 12 weeks I guess. Brilliant socialization for the little ones_julie_ wrote: id i see a little podgy puppy in that crowd
It doesn't take very long to get to Sweden - 1,5 hours perhaps, but this is on the east coast of Sweden and is around 8 hours driving + breaks so it's a decent drive.lynne wrote:how long does it take to drive to sweden
