Registering a dog?

Sorry if this is a stupid question but i ahve never had to register a dog before and i would love for Sapphire to have her papers. How do I go about doing it?. Her mum doesn't have papers and neither does her dad. Her grandmother was a rescue dog so we don't know if she had any either. Is it still possible to register Sapphire? If so how do I go about doing it?

I know absolutly nothing about registering dogs as I only rescue, but I don't think you can just obtain papers. A litters parents must be kc registered with papers, which inturn the pups will then be kc registered and then they will obtain there papers. Hope that makes sense. Xx

I dont think that you could register you would need to know all the dogs full names and then get a family history as you say the parents are not registered so you are stopped at the first hurdle im afraid.
The only way you could register with the kennel club is if both parents are registered and the owner of the mother will sign that a litter was produced along with the stud dogs concent
Not sure about other registered doc but they are worth nothing

as above im afraid both parents would need to be reg peds.
as it is if both parents arnt reg there a chance the pups wont be full staffs they will most prob been crossed at some point

You can't register your pup on the pedigree register with the KC.

You can, however, register her with the Activity Register & the Companion Dog Register..........

If she ever has any pups herself, they wouldn't be eligible for registration either, other than the two registers above.
