Changing to dry food?
Hi all, I want to get Summer onto dry food, at the moment she is on pedigree puppy wet sachets, 2 a day, split into 4 meals.
When should I change and how, do I put the dry in her wet food and gradually lessen the wet and add more of the dry over time, does the dry food need to be softened with water? How much should she have, please dont give me weights, havent any scales at the moment, egg cup/small cup/small handful that sort of thing?
Thanks

Re: Changing to dry food?
have you desided on which dry foods you would like to try.
and when you do just add a little to start with and graduly increese more dry while decressing the wet over a 7 to 10 day period.
and the amount to feed just go with your instinct .

I agree with Wazza, when you have decided which dry food you'd like to feed just add a little bit in with her meals at the minute.
I feed by eye rather then weigh food, although i don't feed dry food, it's no different if he looks a bit skinny up the food a little and visa versa

Re: Changing to dry food?
A lot of young pups need the dry food moistened a little, but otherwise, I agree with above!
