Thanks!

Had a really great time. Only rained three times, and two of those were overnight. Rest of the time was warm & sunny. Dempsey only disgraced himself once (snapped at the pub's barmaid who surprised him when he was crashed out by the pub's fire!) but he didn't make contact & she was ok about it! LOADS of apologies & crawling - however, we went to a different pub in the evenings after that!

He was even well behaved when we went to watch a sheepdog demonstration & 2 of the sheepdogs came over to say hello!

I'll put some pics up over the next few days.

The bad news is that, after travelling about 150 miles coming home, and within 20 minutes of the end of the journey, our cat broke down & we had to be towed home. Sad

Looks like the head gaskett's gone (no, I haven't a clue what that is, but I know it's gonna be expensive!) & we can't drive it. I'll get some estimates for repair next week, but the tow guy thinks it'll be around £600+!!

Lucky it happened at the end of your break and not the begginning! A pain all the same, and a costly one at that!

Well done Dempsy, very well behaved! Looking forward to see some pics Smile

Sorry, that's just my weird humour.

Glad you all had a great time and Dempsey was a good boy.

A HEAD GASKET IS - C/O GOOGLE
A head gasket is a gasket that sits between the engine block and cylinder head in an internal combustion engine. Its purpose is to seal the cylinders to ensure maximum compression and avoid leakage of coolant or engine oil into the cylinders; as such, it is the most critical sealing application in any engine, and as part of the combustion chamber, it shares the same strength requirements as other combustion chamber components.[
It's expensive and you have to remove a lot of parts on the car to get to it

Cool
