she at that funny age pup harness will last untill about 12 to 14 months then a full size so i would just wait till she fully grown if you want leather

or you can go for a webbing harness a lot cheaper and not as ruff on the dog.

If you're going to use a harness, especially for a pup, use a padded one. The leather & plain webbing ones will rub the hair & skin & make it sore.

I'd always use a collar on a young dog as a harness will encourage pulling & can turn the elbows out. Again, use a padded collar or a half-check.

You need to train her to stop pulling. When you're walking along & she pulls ahead, suddenly turn & walk the other way. Don't say anything until she catches up with you & then quiet praise. Keep doing that. Takes you ages to get anywhere, but eventually she'll get unsure of where she's going & will hang back a little to see.

Also, every so often call her name. As soon as she looks at you, even just a glance, praise her. You want her to know that her name is something good & that way, you'll always get her attention when you call.

Great for an adult, but maybe too harsh for a pup? I used one like that for Bandit from about 6 months, but only for showing! For everyday use I used a double layered webbing collar. I don't think you can buy them now, but a collar with a little padding on the inside will be kinder to her neck.

Collar looks nice, at least it's got suede backing so it won't rub too much. I think it'll suit her!

Hi, My Buster is just 12 months old, I have tried all different collars and harnesses but when I took him to puppy training they insisted I use a collar and recommended I use a half check. He still pulls and we are constantly working on it with him but he seems ok on his half check. I found a lot of collars and harnesses seemed to rub him too as other people have said.

yea they recommended that type of collar and lead cause you can have more control over your dog then with a harness

Av had a harness from day one well 9 week with her and tbh a thought she was good on it till she grew out it then went to a collar then had a little trouble with it as she didn't seem to no what it was for? then back to harness but now am kinda set on the collar at least now till shes allot older then maybe a nice leather harness as long as its compatible on her .
