Could be a number of things. Good to hear you have a trip to the vets coming. Let us know what they say.

Could be any of those and hard to tell without a pic. I hope the vet can help you sort it out.

Re: help
we waited with billy for a few days to see if it would get better on its own, and it got worse so we went to the vets
i would go to the vets and they will be able to let you know, it could be a reaction to the shampoo if you have not used it before as staffs are known to have skin problems
good luck

Re: help
Its more than likely a alergic reaction to something as it presents itself under the armpits if I was you and you can get to a chemist i would buy some hibiscrub or a antibacterial wash and wash all the areas everyday then dry, if the hair starts to fall out thats okay dont panic as long as the irritation stops and the skin underneath starts healing

Re: help
lemmy had these during the summer bu they have cleared up completely now. he would get them in elbows, pits head chin cheeks and they would be like spots but with no head on. then after a week or so they would scab over and when the scab came off it left a baldy patch but the hair soon grew back. took him to the vet who gave him antibiotics but this didnt help so they took a fine needle sample and sent it for testing which came back inconclusive so they said they wanted to do a biopsy. i didnt want to put him through the aneasthetic so we elft it for a bit to see what happened and they cleared up on their own and havent been back since.
