Maxi Empty Maxi

Maxi pulls like crazy any fun ideas? Smile I also want to start recall any suggestions? Smile Also does anyone know of any dog parks in Nottingham? By the way the pictures from the other day accidentally got deleted -.- so I'll take some more tomorrow when we go to a nice park Smile

the way i did it was, when they went to pull i'd say "Heel!" and stand still untill they come to heel and sat down, i repeated this everytime and in the end they got bored of stopping and starting so stayed at heel all the time =)

I started recall training inside the house using treats. First, I made Suki wait, and I moved backward for a few steps, then called her name. If she came to me, I gave her a treat. I made the distance longer and longer, and did it everyday at least for 10 minutes. Now she will come to me when I call even though she knows that I don't give her a treat any more. thumbs up (Mrs. Jstaff)

Good advice!

With the walking nicely on lead, I found the easiest (and most boring) way was to turn in the opposite direction every time the dog starts to pull ahead. Takes a while to get anywhere, but works in the long term!
