puss like stuff

i noticed this morning when i was cuddling one of my dogs that behind one of her ears was all wet and sticky, i had a look and couldnt see anything there so washed it off and left it at that, but i just noticed now its back, its like a thick (greeny white) puss, but i cant find anything there, no scratch or bite, any ideas please

I really haven't a clue, is she playing near anything that could have deposited it? Or do you think it is coming from her? Silly question, but just wondering

Is it coming from one of the other dogs? might of rubbed her head against one of them.

Check your other dogs, but if it isn't them, then he hasan infection of some sort & I'd get him to the vets.

no shes not been near anything and the other dogs are fine, shes scratching at it all the time now, but still cant see anything there, starting to think maybe something has burst, like a boil or something, but i cant see any marks, i did treat them for fleas and ticks day before yesterday, could it be a tick thats fallen off or something, its really strange

I would say that it's a scratch or similar & it's gone deep. The infection will be under the skin & oozing out of a tiny opening.

I'd see a vet & get some anti biotics.

did you remove the tick from behind the ear? It might be that a tiny mouthpiece is left in the wound. If she is scratching at it and you have observed pus then I would take her to the vets. Its likely she will need antibiotics.

It maybe could be a hotspot (skin infection) they start like that I would just wash the area with a mild antiseptic wash that you mix with water like hibiscrub,dettol,maleseb and see what happens
