Roxy and Friends
Took Roxy to the dog park again this arvo and she had a great time playing with "Digger" the dingo ( she's met him several times before ) and "Sunny / Sonny" the American Staffy......thought I would share some pics.
OOPS....she "borrowed" ( ok, ran off with ) somebody elses frisbee toy
Nearly forgot....she also met a 6 month Irish Wolfhound too

Fab pics So great that they are so social, mines great with other dogs but half the time we walk I don't meet any Never liked the idea of a dog park, (didn't really know what they where) but for socialising they seem ace!

Re: Roxy and Friends
Great pictures! I thought AmStaffs were banned in Australia? Is that really a Dingo? Didn't know they could be pets. I love Irish Wolf Hounds they are so big and awkward! Roxy looks great, as always!

Re: Roxy and Friends
gorgeous pic, that Sonny is a big boy!!!
a guy with an amstaff at my dog park recently was telling me that his dog had been knocked out cold by a boisterous wolf hound the other week, it bounded over and knocked her to the ground and kept bounding on her and she was out like a light! they're such big dogs!
I guess you don't have many dog parks in England because you can let them off lead all the time on fields and stuff cant you? we are supposed to have our dogs on leads all the time in my town and they community called for a place we could let them run around safely, thats why our dog park was opened about 2 years ago.
also Catstina, Amstaffs not banned, just pittys

Re: Roxy and Friends
That's so silly. The American Pit Bull Terrier and the American Staffordshire Terrier are such similar breeds thatt many dogs are dual registered as APBTs in the UKC and AmStaffs in the AKC. Just goes to show how stupid BSL is!russdogmum wrote:also Catstina, Amstaffs not banned, just pittys

Re: Roxy and Friends
Great pics of Roxy & her friends. I can imagine how big the wolfhound will grow.
The first pic that loaded was the one of Roxy with the frisbee and I was thinking, ooh that would dissapear if Izzy got near it, then I noticed Roxy had "borrowed" it as well.
Is this the dog park you at Kwinana? I was always apprehensive at the one near us in Aselaide, but this one looks much nicer.

Re: Roxy and Friends
Yes Lee, it's the dog park at Kwinana ( or Parmelia as they classify it ) I think it's called "Peace Park" if you want to google it for info. Roxy LOVES it there and we've never had any major issues.

As Russdogmum said...Amstaffs are not banned here in Aus, and YES that really is a dingo and he is the softest/gentlest dog. Such a sweet thing.
The lady with the Irish wolfhound said he would grow to almost double his current size

Re: Roxy and Friends
Thanks Lisa
I googled the street you mentioned previously but noted it was a very long street. I'll have a good look when I'm back in Perth next week. I should be able to get down there the week following that as I'm off from the 28th for another week.
