Hello Everyone
I'm a New Member join over from the facebook site of this Page, I joined up as My family have 2 Staffie 1 Tan/White Markings Bitch (6 Year old ) called TASHA which we had her since she was 6 Weeks old bought her from a Fairly looking Poor family that had breeded there dogs within there family and also have a White/black Markings Male pupply called ROCKY as he as a patch eye of 1 year & 6 month old which i traveld nearly 30mile from home to go get him at the age of 5 weeks as i wanted my own dog.
I joined this site as my family ( our oldest dog Tasha ) "our BABY GIRL" is pregnant and she will be due her pups soon as she has recently grown alot in size and dropped alot so i was wanting as much information that would help us or any ideas of online tools etc that would help us as this will be the 1st ever litter that our family has had with our pets but will sure be our last as it was totaly unexpected.
Thanks

It might be a start. Having pups isn't just about them coming, and I hope you have hugely done your homework, but also after care, worming, jabs and so importantly homes. After the birth you have 8 + weeks to get them ready to be homed.
I would contact a vet, so you have one on stand by if anything goes wrong. Seriously do some research. Get yourself very prepared. Breeding isn't a light matter.

i would start looking for good home now try to find 8=10 good homes
Re: New Member Joined From Facebook Page
Yeah, start looking for homes before the pups are even born. You want every single one to have a home when they are old enough (unless you plan to keep one, which should be altered or kept separately from your other two).

Is your male the father?
I would say that 6 years old is a little too old for a first litter. You should make sure that she is taken to the vets at the first sign of any problems when the pups start to come. Watch for her starting to shake or pant excessively (eclampsia) or strain without producing a pup. In both cases urgent vet treatment is vital.
To be honest, if I were you I'd get the vet to spay her after this litter. It wouldn't be fair to her if she were to fall pregnant again.
A good book to read is "The Book of the Bitch" by J. Evans & K. White.

But Our vet knows about it an has advised me of various things as they know my situation with losing a job a few weeks back aswell as friends that have expreinced pregnancy av helped us too.

Times are hard at the minute for me but no matta what our dogs will always get the best and be looked after to the best of our ability an treat like children like they already are.
aswell as this im in the procces of making a add for the puppies and sorting out dates for when they be ready and gettin a list made up of things i need/will need etc
P.s... MY conversation may seem odd as Me ( the son ) & My Mother are both going to be using this website, and my mother isnt very used to forums and chat online forums.

Our dog that is having the pupps is in the passage of our house in a travel cot that had been adapted for her to be comfy and have the pupps and she regulary gettin watched and checked on but she hasnt changed still her cheerfull self and MY puppy ( rocky ) is away in the kitchen and cant get into the passage unless door is unlocked and the only time they are together is out in the garden under a watchfull eye.
I know most people disagree on breeding! but this wasnt our intention or planned!! but we are doing everything we can to do the best for our dogs and will be taken the right course of action once she has had her litter
