Another exciting day for Winston ( and first near death experience! )

Well our pal brought her dog Boss over to play with Winston. They were mucking around in the shallows of the dam when Winston decided to try to swim after the stick.. and sunk!! I screamed and Tony leapt into the water .. Winston was so lucky Tony had lightening reflexes. Scarey stuff! Looks like swimming lessons in store for Winston.. thank goodness we were there...Phew! as Winston had gone under...His brush with death didn't seem to bother him.. he has since played with Jethro and annoyed him so Jethro gave up the bone he was eating and Winston took it. Plus a few misc ones of them inside last night. Never a dull moment here! Winston leads a more exciting life than I do!!

yes it is Lisa.. but it is at the back and we have our backyard fenced off so Winston can only get to it when we have the gate open and we are there ourselves.

They got Boss from the K9 Dog Rescue in Mandurah,,, he is a lovely boy .

Tony is a hero, silly Winston! The first time my Scrumps went in she went under, only for a split second but felt like an age! Pleased to hear no harm was done!

Lucky boy!

Great pics, but can I just offer some advice? Don't let Winston take Jethro's bone. It'll set a precedent & could end up with bad feelings & even maybe a fight.

Caryll you are absolutely right!!
I always have 2 marrow bones outside so there is no arguing, Winston decided to leave his bone and annoy Jethro ( he must have thought Jethro's piece looked bigger! ) Jethro got fed up with Winston's barking and when he walked off Winston pounced on it!!
Jethro has been telling him off lately over food, Winston normally backs down.
