Great book as well. I really enjoy the horror movies as well. Hostel, Halloween (Rob Zombie), The Hills Have Eyes, Doomsday, there are sooo many.

Re: Your Most Scary Movies
I think we all love to be scared. I like to read as well. If you haven't read any of Jack Ketchum's work I would highly recommend it. He's like a sicker version of Stephen King.

A couple. The Girl Next Door and The Lost that I know of. The movies don't really do the book sjustice though.

Re: Your Most Scary Movies
I hated the Nightmare on Elm Street movies - I couldn't watch them, still can't!
The one film I found quite scary (probably cause I read the book first so I knew what was coming) was The Woman in Black by Suan Hill. I saw it on stage too - very good, very scary.
I find the M.R. James ghost stories quite creepy, too.

Haven't heard of this one but will do the Google research. I always found the Nightmare on Elm Street series a bit humorous myself but could see it being scary. Wes Craven is a good director and they are great films. I also really like Childs Play .... Chucky is a hanfull

Susan Hill is an English writer. I think it was an english tv film. If you get the chance, read the book (or any of her ghosty books), it's very good.

Ather Stephen King fan I see I've always enjoyed his work. Love the Gunslinger series was a bit disappointed in the ending though.

No, she's already dead. She haunts the house & town because her little son was killed in the marshes.

Other films that freak me out not scare but freak out are ones with children...pet cemetery the child being killed.
paranormal activity 2 when the woman storms in at the end and snatchs the baby and he laughs.......creepy
and when the demon turns on the stove, i hate the thought of it happening.

Re: Your Most Scary Movies
i try to find the trailer for the woman in black i watch and i cant believe it was made in 1989
In 1989, the story was adapted for television for Britain's ITV network. The production starred Adrian Rawlins as Arthur Kidd (not Kipps), Bernard Hepton as Sam Toovey (not Sam Daily) and Pauline Moran as The Woman in Black.

The Shining has to be one of the creepiest and scariest films ever made for me.The little boy was scary as hell to me when I was a kid.The little man in his mouth calling REDRUM REDRUM and the twin girls in the hallways. Some absolutely chilling moments in that movie.Gives me the creeps thinking about it.I'm gonna have to watch some Disney movies before bed
