blake was chasing a bee and then he ate it, will this be ok?

Probably. Keep an eye on him, maybe give him half a Piriton tablet to lessen any reaction.

My boss's GSD ate a bee a couple of weeks ago & suffered no ill effects at all!

I wouldn't worry too much. Suki's eaten dead fish, lizards, jellyfish, locus, dragonflys, worms, snails, and many more. That was only this week. They are hard to keep an eye on but seem very resilant.
