New member and new puppy
Hi to all in the forum
I have an 11 week staffordshire bitch called Kora. We have had her for 3 weeks now and are thoroughly enjoying her and her antics!! Any help on how to stop persistent mouthing would be really good as I do seem to be doing a lot of NO at the moment. She is brilliant in her crate at night and also with toilet training it is just the mouthing which is a wearing me out. Have just started puppy training classes which are going quite well, she is still so young and gets very excited!! Any tips gratefully received.

Re: New member and new puppy
Hello and welcome - she looks lovely. We're getting our new puppy next week, we are so excited. Can't wait to start puppy classes either
Sorry can't help on the mouthing front but I'm sure there's loads of other people on here who can.

Hi & welcome.
The easiest way to stop a staffy from mouthing/biting is to say "No!" and then turn away. Don't interract at all, no touching or eye contact, totally ignore her! When she's calm you can praise her quietly & gently. Staffs being staffs she'll soon learn that mouthing = no fuss & not mouthing = fuss & praise!

Hi there and Welcome from me and Roxy.
In regards to the mouthing, I agree with the above advice Just stick with it. Unfortunately there is no "quick fix", but with consistency she'll soon improve.
