diesel is marking Empty diesel is marking

Post by vini Fri Jul 29 2011, 19:25

hi, im new to this and the name is vini. my staff, diesel, is marking on stuff we put down on the floor, certain doors and occasionaly, he pees on the corner of the quilt in the bedroom. he is a clever, inteligent dog and we are getting really frustrated about it. he is nearly 3, quiet natured and lives with our 11 year old yorki. they are totaly fine with one another but we cant trust him around the house while our back is turned. we never seem to catch him in the act but we soon find out...

Hiya and welcome. How long have you had him? I have never had a male before so can't really help apart from say back to basic training, outdoors and lots of praise when he goes. Xx

Make sure whenever he marks that you clean it really thourougly (sp lol) because they have a habit of urinating where there is already a scent.

Try the longer walks & see if it helps.

Has he always done this, or is it a new thing?

Sorry - welcome to the forum, by the way! Big Grin

Hi and welcome from us and Suki. If you have the time the longer walks should help and be sure to clean any area he marks thourougly so there is no scent to encourage him to do it again.
