So pleased with saffy :)

Really happy with saffy She has abit of a problem with other dogs making it hard to walk her anywhere. we tried all sorts of different things but nothing seemed to work so we just sort of got on with it, anyway after some persuasion from my dad we decided to meet up on a night with his bedlington Toby and get gradually closer and closer each night until saff seemed calm enough for them to meet. Shes been getting better and better with him and i've even been able to take them round our local park together! Resulting in her meeting 2 new dog friends today! she still gets her back up with certain dogs but shes so much better, i know its not massive but it's a huge step for us luckily there are some dog owners out there who are patient and willing to give her a try. yeyyy!

yeah hopefully she'll just keep on improving just being able to meet other dogs and talk to the owners is good enough for me!

Thanks everyone! Going again tonight after work, looking forward to it now! really wanna try them together at my mam and dads but not sure if its too soon. Hmmm.

me again! lol. took saff to my mum and dads to see there dog despite my fears they wouldn't get on without any other distractions, but they were actually ok with achother only thing is i have to leave her on her lead as if toby gets too close to her for example sniffs her face, she growls and eventuallys lunges at him. and if he touches any of his own toys she growls as well :s do you think this will always happen as hes a lively puppy and shes nearly 7? or is there anything i could do? on the bright side i never thought id see this.... actually sat nicely with another dog!

Go Saffy! One of my girls is DA too though I have found once she gets to know other dogs she tends to be much better and eventually can be trusted with them. I think your perserverence is paying off, keep up the good work

Thanks, I hope it does as it seems to have come to abit of a stand still now. I'm just hoping she learns to get used to him eventually, I just don't know when to let her off the lead incase she goes for him, she's ok on her walks with him but 1 on 1 she's real funny.

And janey yeah allot of people say they haven't seen one so light, and she gets called a tiger allot haha. I've seen a few brindle round here but there all quite dark
