A thing in her paw :( Empty A thing in her paw :(

Today when I was checking the pups paws, I noticed that in-between the toes of her front paw what I thought was a sesame seed. I tried to sweep it off, but it's stuck, and upon further inspection, it looks like it might be skin?

She didn't seem bothered about me touching it, so I don't think it's sore but it doesn't look right. Is it something to worry about? She's going to the vets on Monday, but any advice in the meantime would be appreciated!

Definatly have a vet check it, as you said it could be nothing, but at this time of year grass seeds are a really pain and if it works it way up and causes an infection then they will have to op on it, ask Caryll her Dempsy was at the vet for the same thing yesterday! Hopefully its nothing but best to be sure Xx

Aw, no, that sounds horrible! I'll definitely bring it up when she's at the vets for her jags. She's my first puppy, so it's hard to tell if I'm just panicking because I don't know any better - I expect the vets are used to that though!

I'd def mention it to the vet. If it is a grass seed or similar, you don't want it to work itself right in like it did with Dempsey - it made him really lame & ended in a £300 vets bill! Surprised

Sad poor thing, that sounds awful. Just now it looks as though it could just be pulled off, so hopefully if it is a seed it'll be easy to treat. I'm so glad the woman we got her from told me to check her paws daily!

I'll be checking regularly from now on - once bitten, twice shy!
