I'm new to staffies, just lost my female boxer about a month ago. Her body finally caught up to her age. My family and I are anxiously awaiting our new puppy "mini" Due to be with us in first week of sept. Big Grin

One quick question is it common for week old pups to have a pink nose with some black speckling..will the nose darken over time?

So sorry to hear about the loss of your beloved boxer. It is so hard to watch our babies grow old.

As for the nose, I'm pretty sure that it will stay pink with black speckles. Which I think is an adorable color for a Stafford's nose! Congrats on the new addition and welcome to the wonderful world of the SBT! Can't wait to see some pictures of your little Mini!

If there is a lot of pink, then it's unlikely to go completely black over the coming months. If you plan to show the dog then a pink nose is a serious fault in a staff. If you don't want to show, then there's no problem & you can just enjoy one of the nicest breeds ever to walk the earth!

The nose thing sounds normal,their nose can darken,or stay the same and I think a pink nose and freckles sounds adorable!

So sorry to hear of your loss of your old girl, but as everyone has said, you've made a fantastic choice with the SBT.

SBT pups are seriously hard work but so worth it in the end.

hi and welcome.sorry to hear about your loss. puppies can change alot in the first few weeks but our pup coco kept her pink spot on her nose and she is now 12 weeks
