Re: Teething
i used to give my dog all differnet of thing to chew on.. rubber rings, rubber balls, sticks dont keep them all together you want to place them all over the room it may look messy for a while but when she lose these puppy teeth.
Re: Teething
I bought a couple of Nylabones for Dempsey (he still has em!) and he seemed to like the roughness they get when they've been chewed a while. I sometimes used to put them in the freezer for 10 minutes so that they were nice & cold on his gums.
I used the gel & it did help a little.

Re: Teething
Maybe try frozed sweet potato slices or a kong with filling that has been put in the freezer.

Re: Teething
I used a kong, filled it and put it in the freezer, also the nylabones seemed to work as well

Re: Teething
If Milly doesn't like frozen carrots could you try her with other fruit or vegies.. eg apples..
Or freeze some beef stock with bits of meat and vegies and pasta etc... and then tip it out and let her lick at that.. it is soothing but it has to be outside ! It will make a mess as it thaws!!

Re: Teething
Polly loved those rope type knot chews soaked in water and then frozen, she used to go mad with them, I just resoaked and froze them again when they defrosted and she lots interest.
If you know anyone with an aple tree who might be persuaded to cut you a nice branch for her to chew on the green wood won't splinter and stick in her gums and dogs seem to love the tast of the sap. It makes a bit of a mess but a lot easier to sort out then chewed woodwork in your house
