Looks fab, everyone seems to have a great place be tbeach/park/woods, really nice Xx

As you can see, Dempsey's put on a bit of weight - it's slowly going, but it's difficult as he just won't run around.

Does he not play with his boomer anymore? Xx

Nope! Or his Running Egg, or a ball of any kind. He'll chase a stick for a while but gets fed up with it. I'm going to get a bicycle tyre and let him play with that, maybe liven him up a bit.

caryll, the dog I had before oli and lola(clyde) wouldn't play with any toys once he was 10 months old. he was an apbt and a great dog. but for some reason he went from puppy to old man in a snap. he was a great dog but just never liked playing much.

Every dog I've ever had has loved running flat out once let off the lead - all Dempsey does is trot! Lazy b*gger!

Dempsy is beautiful, and there is lots of him to love !!

Showed my 4 year old, he said he's nice and can we get 3 dogs! he also thinks this name is cool! xx

He isn't fat now, he's lost quite a bit of weght, but he was definitely fat then!

He's gorgeous! My husband's family dog Harry (he was an English Bull) was so stubborn! We used to try and take him for a walk and he would literally stop, turn around and walk back to the front door! I'd never known anything like it! Our family dog was a lab and she LOVED her walks and my grandparent's had heelers as they had a farm and they were so energetic... But no Harry LOL.

Love those photo's of the poppies, my hubby and I are always looking for places to photograph these. Could I please ask where the ground is? Many thanks in advance.

Those ones were in Bradlaugh Fields, Northampton (at the back of Morrisons!). It's a site of special scientific interest & is made up of an iron age mining site & an ex golf course! There's a wealth of wildlife there, including several active badger sets, foxes, weasels, owls, rabbits & loads of birds. In one part is a long hedge that dates back at least 300 years!

Thats great thanks for replying Caryll. I think we may well be making a visit there a bit later in the year.

Just discovered this is part of the Wildlife Trust which I am a member of.

so i saw the title and thought ooohhh caryll has put pictures of dempsey on but then all i kept seeing was a field and no dog so you can imagine my surprise when little old dempsey finaly got a look in at the bottom. nice place though love wild flowers and thing sin fields.

I love Dempsey, hes awesome. Have you tried a flirtpole or perhaps a treadmill to get him moving?
He's lucky because he has the chest size to pull off a bit of excess weight.

He's not interested in a flirtpole or springpole! And I can't afford a treadmill, so it's basically leg work!
