Re: dog hoodys
Dempsey has 2 hoodys - a green one & a blue one (one on & one in the wash!) for winter. He feels the cold at night.

Re: dog hoodys
I got Violet an anorak with a fur trimmed hood. She seems to really feel the cold, so she needed something to keep her a bit warmer. Will need to get a photo of her in it - she looks like Ice T.

Re: dog hoodys
Dempsey has a coat for outside, but a hoody for inside during the winter. We don't have central heating on in the kitchen & that's where Dempsey's bed is.

Re: dog hoodys
Mine have coats for the winter there fur does not sheild them from extreme cold and we have some really cold times. Do you put a jumper on at winter and a coat over with hat gloves maybe, some dogs have a summer coat and a winter coat, the stafford doesnt

I didn't really want Violet to be a dog who wears clothes, but her belly is baldy, and she shivers when it's cold, so I'd rather she looked a bit daft by wearing a coat than felt cold. She is the most heat orientated dog in the world though - always looking for the warmest place to sit!

Re: dog hoodys
I agreed wholeheartedly if there's a need then fill it. I'm just saying for me personally with my dogs and in the climate i live in there's no need and it would be cruel and they would over heat =D
I put one of my son's old jumpers on Henry to see how he liked it. He couldn't get used to it and just rolled around constantly to try and get it off. He did look super cute though lol =D x

No its not just you!! Although i love seeing the pics of the doggies in there "clothes" mine wouldnt be seen dead in them lol. IMO unless doggie is very old young or ill in englands climate there is no need for clothes. x

Re: dog hoodys
My girls shiver when its snowing and stuff and they stop running around. If they have to wait outside a shop or come and see the horses with me then they get chilly they have warm 'flying jackets' for those days with sheepskin inside. I like 'Adidog' for hoodies they live local to me

She actually quite likes wearing it - it's no problem to put it on her, but I had to coax her out of her crate to get it back off again after we went inside!

Here's Saxon in his coat this past winter:
I found it at a local pet shop, but as long as you know the measurement, getting one online is probably best.

Re: dog hoodys
My mum bought Boss(her "grandson") 2 coats a few months ago, one blue and one pink and brown, and after 10 mins of having them he ate the pink one but left the blue alone, hmmm maybe he protested the feminine colours? My Mum couldnt stand him looking so sad shivering in the -20 winters

I couldn't answer this last night as it was 1 am and I had to go to bed I was so tired !!
Well Barney looked a real darling and how sad it must have been for your sister.. that is the worse part about owning pets, they don't live long enough. I am not looking forward to Jethro departing this life.... I love that dog just too much for my own good ! I am going to be an absolute cot case...
