Post by Guest Wed Jul 13 2011, 12:12

Just found out about a flyball club run by work and they hold the sessions near where i live so me and Woody are signed up to go and try it next Tuesday! well excited.

Has anyone tried this before?

Just hope Woody's "ball issues" dont stand in our way!

I thought about doing that when Dempsey was a bit younger, but the club wanted him to be trained & dog friendly, I can't think why......... Surprised Blushing

ha ha i am picturing Dempsey just heading off with a dog as opposed to a ball in his mouth!

i cant wait, its going to go one of 2 ways with Woody - he'll be really good or he'll just eat the ball!!!

ianf & Lynne i think you are both right it will end up as follows:

me running over the hurdles (not spilling adrop of wine) retrieving the ball, handing it to woody who has sat watching drooling who will then proceed to destroy the ball!

you will love it Big Grin
and you're forgetting how smart Staffies are Big Grin
and it's great for socialising your dog with others, (might take a while but its worth it)
lots of dog charity events have flyball demonstrations, where you can sometimes have a try at it too,

try the british flyball association(BFA) site for more info (think it lists all the clubs too) link here http://www.flyball.org.uk
