flyball
Just found out about a flyball club run by work and they hold the sessions near where i live so me and Woody are signed up to go and try it next Tuesday! well excited.
Has anyone tried this before?
Just hope Woody's "ball issues" dont stand in our way!

Re: flyball
I thought about doing that when Dempsey was a bit younger, but the club wanted him to be trained & dog friendly, I can't think why.........

ha ha i am picturing Dempsey just heading off with a dog as opposed to a ball in his mouth!
i cant wait, its going to go one of 2 ways with Woody - he'll be really good or he'll just eat the ball!!!

Re: flyball
ianf & Lynne i think you are both right it will end up as follows:
me running over the hurdles (not spilling adrop of wine) retrieving the ball, handing it to woody who has sat watching who will then proceed to destroy the ball!

Re: flyball
you will love it
and you're forgetting how smart Staffies are
and it's great for socialising your dog with others, (might take a while but its worth it)
lots of dog charity events have flyball demonstrations, where you can sometimes have a try at it too,
try the british flyball association(BFA) site for more info (think it lists all the clubs too) link here http://www.flyball.org.uk

Re: flyball
just noticed that you are in Blackpool, where there is a nice friendly flyball team who we have raced again in the past, might even be the same one you will be going to
