Separation Anxiety
Morning all
Well stan is 6 months now and he is doing great, really cannot fault this pup in anyway. I grew up with dogs all my life and really wanted to get one of my own but my ex was against it! Well we split up and then came Stan ! Anyway i did alot of reading and separation anxiety with this breed came up alot so i refrained and thought this was a breed for retirement which would be a shame as im 35! Against all odds i decided to take the plunge! Everything has worked out really well so far, i wake up at 5am with him, feed and them play fetch until i leave for work at 6:50am, i watch him on the webcam and he gets in his crate and sleeps until i return at 12:30 for 30mins, quick wee and number 2 few rounds of fetch and i leave again at 12:55pm back to work until 4:30pm then its stan time until bed time! He sleeps with me LOL! Sometimes in the evening he will go off by himself and sleep at the top of the stairs! He seems to be a really independent little guy! I dont know if i have just been lucky or what? What are your experiences with separation anxiety in staffords? If i had went soley off what i read online i would never of had the pleasure of owning him! I absolutely adore this fella he is the apple of my eye 🥰

Re: Separation Anxiety
He's a real handsome boy isn't he?
To be honest, I don't think Stafford's have any more separation anxiety than most other breeds, but they sometimes form firmer bonds with their owners than some others.
I wonder how much impact the lockdown has had on some pups?

Re: Separation Anxiety
He's certainly a handsome boy Not all suffer from being left home. Katy is left for half a day & just sleeps until I get home. She may shout at the postman but doesn't stress about being left!

He sure is 🥰
I think the lockdown will have created alot of issues for many pups, i was close to buying a pup during that time as i was off work for 7 months! Fortunately for me im abit tight and just couldnt warrant spending the kind of money breeders where asking for! 2-3k is just crazy money!
Thanks for the reply
