A fortnight
I was watching a veterinary documentary this weekend.
The vet was explaining to the owners of an obese labrador, who would add ham to his kibble in order for him to eat, that a healthy dog can go without eating for a fortnight before risking any health issues. She told the owners to “let the dog starve”, in other words, don’t give in to his hunger strike as he was being fed quality kibble anyway.
Food for thought, as they say

Re: A fortnight
A fortnight is a long time But if a dog is hungry it will eat what's put in front of it, it wouldn't starve itself! Katy would probably find a way to open the fridge
