what can I put on it?

Poor vinnie has just been bitten by a red ant .. I found the lil sucker on the inside of his leg and now he has 2 inflamed bumps! I've put cold compress on them, anyone know what I can put on them to calm em' down?

You can try bathing with milk (alkaline) or rubbing a little sudocrem on them. The effects don't last very long, thank goodness - been there, done that!!

I'm not sure if an antihistamine will work, because it's an acid burn, not an allergic reaction to a bite or sting. Red ants 'spit' acid at you, they don't actually bite.

Oh right what lovely creatures :/ lol.. They seem to be going down a bit I put some cream and cold compress on it and they're starting to flatten

I never new that, little buggers, poor Vinnie, if its any condolence for him Moo killed a load of flying ants yesterday, she says it was done for Vinnie

Hahaha! Yaaay moo! Lol .. I just told him and he sends her kisses! Lol .. Funny enough ones in our garden met boiling water :-o lol .. Dogs arnt too happy tho' cuz they have to stay in for bit while it cools lol

Poor Vinnie..I know how much ants hurt when they bite... OUCH !!
