why does Taz eat cat poo

when ever the bathroom door is open Taz always goes into the bathroom and eats the cat food and then the cat poo its nasty is there a way to teach it not to do it?

Other than either keeping him away from the cat poo, or being there to stop him I think you'll struggle.

A lot of dogs like to eat poo (some say it's a mineral deficiency, but I'm not convinced of that). I think you need to make sure he can't get into the bathroom (I take it that's where you usually feed the cat & keep its litter tray?) - maybe put up a baby gate so the cat can still get to it, but Taz can't.

we tried the baby gate before Taz just jumps over it

Oh. What about putting a cat door in the bathroom door & then shutting the door?

I know it sounds drastic, but unless you can be on hand 100% of the time, you're not going to be able to stop it.

In the meantime, if you see him go into the bathroom follow him & if he tries to eat the food or the poo, tell him "No, leave it!" and turn him away. Keep repeating and if necessary turn him out of the room physically.

why not put the litter tray up high where the cat can jump to but dog cant reach?
