Whoops, a timely error

Last week, there was no canine club as they were hosting an obedience competition.
Opium should have been promoted out of puppy school but the instructors agreed to base on her age (<6 months) rather than on her “advanced” training level (compared to all of the other puppies) and let her continue a couple more times in puppy school.

I basically got all mixed up today and arrived an hour too early for the puppies, but just in time for the post-puppy obedience class. As OH and Nifty were with us to watch, I didn’t want to hang around an extra hour so we joined the class a few weeks early.

For the youngest in the class, and for her first attendance, Opium did me more than proud !
She was focussed on me (despite having Nifty on the other side of the ring fencing) and did all of the exercises well. We’ve not yet worked on the stay command but as to walking to heel, sitting and lying down on command, great. And when we had to weave through the other dogs, she didn’t pay attention to any of them.

What a clever girl I didn't do puppy classes with Katy but with hindsight I wished I had! We did start classes when she was older & she raced through them to gold standard You wouldn't know it out of class
