8 months in....
8 MOnths ago, I adopted a little friend, called Tanner, an abused staffy who needed a home. I always wanted a dog but was never really confident enough to go for it but I made the move with a local charity and they paired me up with a dog they thought would match me.
He came and I thought Tanner didnt suit him so I renamed him Smudge. The first while was a little bit of trial and error - very much me getting used to him and his routine, when he liked to go out, pee, poo, eat etc. after a couple of mishaps all is fine.
He was always a little shy slightly withdrawn but after around 5/6 months he changed, much more confident, more playful and the dog walker told me the same - he had even become leader of his pack!
Now, he is the best dog I could ever want, we have almost full blown conversations, I had no idea how vocal staffies were, hes hilarious sometimes, chases a rawhide chew around the house, jumping and throwing, looking to me all the time for encouragement!
He makes me laugh every day and I love him to bits - how people can mistreat these lovely lovely dogs I will never get. (first pic soon after I got him - second, last week

Welcome from misty and I. Wow what a happy ending, we love hearing about rescues! Isn't Smudge a little star. He is ridiculously cute with those ears and that beautiful colouring. So lovely to hear about the happiness and love you bring each other!
Can't wait to hear more and see more pics.

What a difference between those two pics, the first very nervous and the second just beaming with contentment! He's obviously in the right place!

What a difference! He's looking so happy, healthy and confident.
Yes, they're quite a vocal breed & have loads of different whines & howls - it can be hilarious!
