Unfortunately I’ve had to call the vet and we’re going back tomorrow morning ...

However, she has been spending her afternoon dozing on her human cushion

Violent vomiting and now empty stomach, probably due to antigalactogogues for phantom pregnancy.
She seems better tonight and has eaten a bit of kibble but vet check tomorrow morning to be sure

Oh no poor baby whenever anyone says about phantom pregnancies in dogs to me it makes me so sad, the fact the start prepping for their little puppers breaks my heart. Sending a big cuddle to her x

To see her go through this is really heartbreaking for me. It is another very good reason to spay, so she doesn’t have to go through this again.

Poor Nifty, that's not a great way to spend her first birthday

Well good news.
Went back to vet this morning who confirmed that Nifty is not compatible with medication given so had a couple of jabs for vomiting instead.

She’s now drinking properly, had a good play in the garden this evening and wolfed down her cooked chicken belated birthday meal
My Nifty is back !

Breeder has just called with belated birthday wishes and has told me that Nifty’s mum is currently having her pups (from Nifty’s dad). First pup is a male and it’s going to be a long night !
