He's our dog now!
Phoned Identibase earlier to find out what's been going on with Chases chip information as it's been way over 28 days since we sent the request form off.
Turns out that his previous owners had no contact with them (no surprise there!) Which means he's now defaulted into our care ... Woohoo! Finally!
We will receive his papers in the next few days so we can amend anything that's not right like his age for a start and we'll be able to change his details once we've moved!
I'm so happy, I can now actually say he's our dog and mean it

Great news! A chip doesn't prove ownership but it is one factor. And moving means his old owners won't know where he is anyway!
