hi my dog amber has just eaten one of those sticks of liquorice from sherbert fountains... ive hurd that liquorice isnt very good for dogs can anyone suggest anything or make me feel better by saying she will be ok? shes 18 months there or abouts thanks alot

honestly i am unsure about those but im sure she will be fine! she may have a dicky stomach aka may be sick a lil or even a bit of loose stool but if im not mistaken it should be fine .. perhaps make her drink some water etc.

yeah i think i worry to much though lol and yea she seems too be eating everything at the minute... her favourite things at the moment are spiders lol dont no why lol

Licorice is a natural laxative, so your dog may get the runs. I'd be more worried, though about the sugar that's in it and the susequent hyperactivity!

They really shouldn't have licorice at all (unless it's prescribed to treat gastro-intestinal problems) but small amounts won't do any lasting damage.

oh thats great news thankyou .. she seems fine today going too toilet normal shes having a sleep with buster now so not too hyper lol
